Initial impressions are that, although the Show included a lot of excellent items in its Competition (608 entries this year), the number of visitors on the public viewing days was less than half of last year's attendance. Thus ticket and refreshment sales were down considerably. This was disappointing for the organising committee and, more importantly, may mean that the Show operated at a loss financially. If this in fact proves to be the case, when all accounts are settled, it will mean it will be extremely difficult to put on a similar show next year.
