28th Annual NSW Ceramic Art Show - 2010

Expect another treat if you attend this year's NSW Annual Ceramic Art Show which is open to the public on 13th (evening only) and 14th of August, 2010, and being held for the third time in West Pennant Hills.  It will be in the large rear hall, and a second hall which are both part of the West Pennant Hills Community Church.  There will be more space than last year to exhibit competition entries, PLUS there will be room for several tables selling craft items.

Whether you are a person already skilled in the hobby of ceramic arts, or someone just beginning, or indeed someone who just enjoys looking at beautiful things, there should be lots at this Show to please you and to challenge you.

There will be pieces of ceramic art of all types, shapes and sizes on display and all will have been judged on the Friday before the show opens to the public at 6 pm.  The show's Special Theme category (N3) this year is called "Lazy Crazy days of Summer" which hopefully will attract many interesting designs and ideas.  Of course there are the other standard categories - covering all types of ceramic art, all age groups, and all skill levels - from complete novices to advanced professionals.  Whether they attend a ceramics studio as a student or create at home or school, people have opportunity to enter their handiwork in the show competition with the potential to win a prize and to learn lots more for future enjoyment in hobby ceramics.

The doors open to the public at 6pm on Friday, closing at 8pm (light meal available during this period) and again at 9.30am on Saturday, closing at 4pm after the Announcement of Winners and the Presentation of Trophies.

The cost of entry (no concessions) to view the exhibits is $15 on Friday evening (which includes a meal and ALSO free entry on Saturday), or on Saturday $6 for adults, $1 for children and $2 for seniors.  Entry for children under 5 is Free.

There will also be refreshments and snacks (at very reasonable prices) available all day on Saturday.

In order for us to cater adequately for those coming, could you please indicate your decision to attend on Friday evening by telephoning either Mavis Winrow on (02) 9484 6054 or Kerrie Girard on (02) 9804 0209 by Monday 9th August, 2010 at the latest.
